Accessibility statement

Commitment

WorldWind Consulting aims to make this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, reduced-motion settings or high-contrast display modes. We review accessibility when we update the website.

Our intent is to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This statement describes what we have done and where we know the site still falls short.

Measures taken

  • Semantic HTML landmarks — header, nav, main, section, article and footer — so that assistive technology can move between regions.
  • A visible "skip to main content" link on every page.
  • One main page heading and section headings organized by content hierarchy.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, including the mega menus, mobile menu and site search, with visible focus indicators.
  • Escape closes the menu, drawer and search overlay; focus returns to the control that opened them.
  • Colour contrast checked against the surrounding background for body text, navigation and interactive elements.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alternative text on decorative ones.
  • Form fields with associated labels, and status messages announced politely to assistive technology.
  • Support for prefers-reduced-motion: scrolling and reveal animations are disabled when that setting is on.
  • Responsive layout that reflows to a single column on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

Our technical target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Automated checks and internal keyboard and layout review do not establish full conformance or certify ADA compliance. The following still require review:

  • Independent manual testing with screen readers and other assistive technology, including the complete inquiry and booking processes.
  • Appointment booking is handled by a third-party scheduling page (Google Calendar), which we do not control. If that page presents a barrier, please contact us directly and we will arrange a time by telephone or email.
  • The live site must be rechecked after deployment and whenever content or functionality changes.
  • This statement describes an internal review. It is not an independent accessibility certification.
